Development of the data center and software clouding system by Huawei Technologies Co Ltd in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is going smoothly, according to a statement made by the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou province on April 3.
Work on the cloud data center began in August 2017 and will include three main sections – the data center, the Huawei global IT maintenance engineering base and a training base for college students.
The cooperation agreement between Guian and Huawei was signed last May, with the cloud center agreement being signed last November. In December last year, the Guizhou-Huawei cloud software was released onto the market.
It is expected that the Guizhou-Huawei cloud will serve more than 200 enterprises and over 10 colleges and training institutes in the province. The Guizhou-Huawei Software Cloud Innovation Center, located in the province's capital, Guiyang, will be launched in April.
Guizhou's cooperation with Huawei has seen rapid advancement in recent years. Huawei launched its ICT tour in Guiyang in April 2017 and in June that same year opened its Global Partners Summit in Guizhou, attracting more than 160 Huawei partners and nearly 300 senior officials from Fortune Global 500.
The Guizhou-Cloud Big Data platform, which was co-founded by Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Co, China Telecom and Huawei, has been put into operation, serving the Department of Land and Resources of Guizhou, Guizhou Human Resources and Social Security Network.
