Guian strives to become center for green industry in SW China
"Guian aims to develop itself into a new center for green industry and green finance in Southwest China," said Zong Wen, chairman of Guian New Area Development and Investment Co Ltd and deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guian Party working committee in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
"(Guian New Area) is advancing the integration of big data, green industry and green finance and is committed to exploring new avenues for the innovation and development of green finance with Guian characteristics," he added.
According to Zong, Guian New Area is exploring the development of green finance from various angles, including development planning, green finance policy system, and more favorable platforms and carriers.
So far, a dozen policies have been launched to stimulate green development in Guian, including a wave of measures supporting the construction of a green financial reform and innovation trial zone.
In order to improve green financial policies and systems, a total of 500 million yuan ($75.73 million) will be allocated to attract more green businesses, talents and organizations to Guian.
Guian New area has completed the first phase of its green financial harbor, which is expected to be an industrial benchmark in Guian that will attract more organizations focusing on green financial reform and innovation.
A project library is also being established, which will mainly focus on green manufacturing, energy, architecture, transportation and consumption.
