Guian-made electric car to be staged at Big Data expo
The DEV1, the first electric car manufactured by Sitech Electric Automobile Co in Guian New Area, Southwest Guizhou province, is expected to be on display during the 2018 Big Data Expo to be held from May 26 to 29 in Guizhou's capital of Guiyang. Trail driving experiences will be provided for visitors.
Co-organized by Sitech, Lenovo and Bosch (China), the event will accompany the Sitech Strategic Cooperation press conference, which will be attended by a number of industrial big names, including Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing. The event heralds new alliances in the Guian New Area new energy automobile industry.
Operated by Sitech's self-developed D-OS system, DEV1 boasts smart configuration and a maximum endurance of 350 kilometers per charge. Under a 30-minute fast- charging model, it can run as far as 200 km.
Due to its low cost of only five yuan ($0.78) for 100 kilometers, DEV1 has received plenty of orders since it launched 2,000 souvenir-edition units, which are printed with a limited edition logo.
